History
"Sometimes, you gotta be a cheeky bastard to get by in life.
If you don't, well... On second thought, I guess that's okay, too.
That's not for me, though, as I like being a cheeky bastard."
Hope was born on the southern shores of Ilsabard, into a tribe of Mi'qote not unlike any other. However, his father, the Nunh of the tribe, was an egotistical and tyrannical man, and after making an escape during an Imperial invasion, he and his siblings found themselves wandering the plains of Othard. After proving himself and being accepted into a tribe of Xaela, Reivan began to raise Hope and his sister by himself.
After years of this peaceful life, Hope wanted more. He was tired of leaving fighting and hunting to his siblings, who still viewed him as the young boy he used to be. After a heavy fight with them, Hope wandered away from the tribe, stumbling upon an old cavern in the nearby Tail Mountains. While exploring the untouched depths, he ended up coming into contact with an ancient voidsent. After trying his best, desperately fighting against the ancient creature, the voidsent ended up viewing Hope as a valuable host and took over his body for his own.
Not all was lost, however, as Hope used what little strength he had left and succeeded in reigning in the dark power swirling inside of him, inevitably locking the voidsent within his own body.
After coming back to the tribe with power not his own, Hope and his siblings were shunned from the people who helped raise them, forcing them out of Othard and made to wander for a new home.
Despite blaming himself, his siblings still loved him and wanted nothing but to protect him. Thus, they made their way to Eorzea in hopes of a better life.
Flash forward to today, where Hope and his siblings have made names for themselves throughout the Ul'dahn streets. Fearful of what the voidsent would do, Hope opted instead to work the markets, taking up odd jobs here and there throughout the city, and becoming well known as a mischievous troublemaker to boot. To this day, citizens know to watch their pockets, for you never know when Hope will be feeling feisty.

Quirks
After having come into contact with the voidsent, Hope has to spend every day battling for control. At times, it can be a struggle, with the voidsent inevitably taking over. This happens especially frequently during combat, which is why Hope tries so hard to steer away from any sort of fight, despite doing his best to instigate them.
Practiced in both archery and conjury, he considers himself a pretty reliable sort if you're in need of assistance. If he feels like the voidsent is about to take over, however, you'll find yourself short a fighter. Despite knowing the risks himself, he doesn't really divulge that information.
A good way to tell if he has the voidsent under control is when his hair is blonde instead of black. Despite it just being a side effect of his never ending struggle, he considers himself pretty handsome with the new color!
He's a very mischievous character, so be sure to be ready for a lot of pranks and/or flirting coming your way when you run into him. And if he likes what he sees? Well, then, you'd be better off just running before trouble finds you first.
Potential Hooks
Despite being taught archery by his brother, Hope stumbled upon conjury while searching for a way to combat the voidsent inside of him. Turns out, he's pretty great at it! If you're practiced in the arts of conjury, perhaps he would value your help in his fight against the voidsent.
While usually a playful and teasing sort, Hope loves a challenge and will always try to get under the skin of anyone he feels would be fun to annoy. If you're up to testing the waters, perhaps you'd like to try your hand at getting under his skin as well?
He is a pretty wild character, and is always down for a little russle and tussel in a nearby inn or even alley. But only if you can pique his interests.
